GENKI: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese is a study resource for people who are starting to learn Japanese. It is designed to comprehensively build communication competencies across all four skill areas--listening, speaking, reading, and writing. GENKI consists of 23 lessons, divided into two volumes of textbooks and workbooks. Vol. 1 contains Lessons 1-12, and Vol. 2 covers Lessons 13-23. The audio material of the textbooks and workbooks can be downloaded and played on mobile devices by using an app called OTO Navi.

This workbook provides worksheets for the grammar points and kanji introduced in Textbook Vol. 1 (3rd Ed.) and listening comprehension practices. Each page of the book can be cut off and used as a homework sheet. The audio material for Listening Comprehension is available through OTO Navi, The Japan Times Publishing's sound player app.

This textbook helps intermediate learners make the leap to advanced Japanese by comprehensively building their communication skills. Users make their way through engaging real-life readings that are challenging but not frustrating, and then discuss or write reports on the material to further deepen their learning experience. Includes supplements that list the vocabulary used in each unit and explain key expressions. The companion workbook (sold separately) provides practice in vocabulary, grammar, and tasks aligned with the textbook.
