Was it a way of preparing Kofi for his day of multiple poor luck? It could be the case for not long after the writing exercise; the little school boy lived through a day in which he experienced one adversity after another.As he woke up on that day, no sign pointed to anything unusual-on the contrary, the day started on a bright note, with clear blue skies and the ever-present African sun shining brightly. In the end, however, it turned out to be a nightmare day, a day Kofi earnestly prayed and hoped would never repeat itself. Little did the generous driver imagine his kind gesture would bring him into conflict with the police. Indeed, not long after he resumed the journey, he was stopped by the police, who accused him of carrying more passengers than was allowed by law.The police officer extorted money from the driver before allowing him to resume his journey.Did the Police officer ever imagine his behaviour would be challenged by a fearless young boy travelling on the vehicle, a challenge that nearly cost him his job?
