Frozen Sky is an artist's book by Langlands and Bell which uses the international language of airport abbreviations (the three-letter codes designating cities) as well as air traffic control maps rendered in black-and-white to both orient and disorient the viewer. Occasional pages with cryptic phrases such as "An Invisible World Capital" heighten the gnomic suggestiveness of the book Set into grids, the utilitarian nature of this work is in fact a commentary on the ways in which our planet is connected and disconnected.

Chinese installation artist Chen Zhen pairs East, West, old, and new with surprising results. Using such objects as traditional Chinese furniture, abacuses, Chinese gaming tables, as well as discarded clothing and electronic equipment, Zhen ingeniously plays on Buddhist imagery and ancient parables. His creations attempt to solidify his experiential and complex reactions to change and modernity. Zhen has shown internationally, including at the New Museum of Contemporary Art, and P.S. 1. The book also includes an interview with the artist in bilingual Chinese/English translation.
