These are three unrelated stories that are basically about relationships. The story called The Journey of Ben Kaiser is a continuation of my first novel called the Aqueduct. In that book, a small boy falls into an aqueduct, rescued and adopted by two complete strangers. They discover that he has a remarkable talent for music. The Journey of Ben Kaiser continues this story from age 18 through his adulthood. It's a tale of faith and redemption. The Potter describes a relationship between an author and a potter in the artistic crucible of Santa Fe New Mexico. Through their successes and failures they finally discover the nature of love. Last Days is a complete fiction about a medical investigator in Philadelphia who crosses the line and becomes a killer. It has an odd ending. The experiment is a fantasy tale about time travel. Don has trained and worked very hard in the visual arts and is well known in the field of fine art clay. He is now 78 and is finally writing down my experiences in both the art world and musical world. It is remarkable that he learned both the violin and mandolin at 73. He has immersed himself in music of all genres. Instead of an RV he sank a good deal money into high-end sound systems. Forks In the Road is a story of my life, shaped by many amazing and unexpected events (Forks) which took me from a young farm boy with little more than an elementary country school education into the Korean War, through college, and a 32-year career with a major international airline, culminating with a Vice President position. When that career ended, I decided to take up running and completed my first 26.2-mile marathon at age 63. Over the next 24 years, along with hundreds of shorter races, I completed 233 full marathons (26.2 miles), including four in each of the 50 states as part of the 50 State Marathon organization. I completed that goal at age 87. Finally, among other endeavors, I decided to write this memoir. Everyone has forks, but often takes them for granted. I challenge the reader to recognize his/her own and reflect upon them. Roger was born on June 25, 1931 and raised as an only child of Joseph and Margaret Hauge on a farm in Lac Qui Parle County near Dawson, Minnesota. With only an 9th grade education, he assumed he would be a farmer. However, the Korean War began on his 19th birthday in June 1950, he immediately enlisted in the Air Force, and thus he began a career that took him around the world. Along the way, he encountered several forks in the road which shaped the course of his life. Having always enjoyed writing, Roger felt his experiences were unique enough that others might enjoy reading about them. He now resides in Venice, Florida, and Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Some of the legends of Glooscap come to us in written word. But before the language was created into a written form, stories were only told in the oral tradition. One such story orally told and remembered but by a handful, tells of the marriage of Glooscap to the beautiful maiden A'sbeh of what was then called the people of Mi'kmaq. This is the story of the effect of the whirlpool called the "Old Sow" and the disastrous effect on the wedding. Although the author was born and raised in East Boston and other communities in the Boston area, Bob developed an interest in countryside living and in older properties with some history. While he worked for Worcester Polytech Institute (WPI) he lived in an old house built in 1767 with a connection to the civil war. He took a position with the University of Maine in Machias teaching in their Professional Studies Division in 2005 and purchased a home in Addison Maine on Pleasant Point built in 1797. And later a house in East Machias built in 1850. Although he started out as an engineer, he later moved into the area of education, teaching at such schools as Lowell Technological Institute/University of Massachusetts, University of New Hampshire, Rivier University, Southern New Hampshire University, Daniel Webster College, and others. Bob is currently retired having just finished the past year with the University of Maine assisting with the merging of its Machias Campus with the current University of Maine System. The main portions of the book were written during Bob's time with the University of Maine in Machias close to the Indian Township at Pleasant Point/Sipayic.

This book is about the uncertain future of our world which is now spiraling down toward the end. Biological warfare with advanced aircraft and weaponry becomes more evident as time elapse quickly. A global conspiracy called Project Firebird is putting our children at risk because of massive abductions across the country and the world. The United Nations has launched an internal investigation in trying to expose a secret world government. KR-84 is the countdown to chaos. (Fight the future) I'm Wilbert Galindo, author of the Introduction and KR-84. I was born November 7, 1971, in Bronx, New York. This book that I written took me years to develop even though at first, I never had a publisher. I wanted to draft a story that would make readers think. I miss stories that ask of what if. KR-84 is the first of many in this miniseries of books. What inspired me to do this project? Steven King, Tom Clancy, Robert London, Dean Koontz, and film director Alferd Hitchcock who created good stories. My favorite show is The X-Files. I wanted this book to be different. 13 years in the making and I hope it was worth it. A lot of research went into this project. I'm happy that it's done after all obstacles were in my path. I thank God for giving me the gift of creatively to write.

My father Raymond V Maksuta grew up in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. After Pearl Harbor was attacked in the late 30s early40s. Both his brothers had been drafted, and he was left at home, this got pretty boring being home alone. I then asked my parents when I turn 17 on my birthday, I'd like to join the US Navy. After some delay, permission was granted. I went over to Church Street in New York City to take all the strick test requirements to join the Navy. I passed the tests then and was placed in the Naval Marine Engineering area from there the saga of Battles: Lost and Won begins.

Frederick Poss grew up in Tomah, Wisconsin-- a half-Bohemian/half-German kid who loved to trout fish and tell fibs. Now he lives on Lake Eau Claire near Augusta, Wisconsin, as a semi-retired senior lecturer from UW-Eau Claire. He still loves to fish and fib. During his career as an educator, Poss was selected Outstanding Teacher of Creative Writing in Wisconsin three times and named a Writing Fellow by the National Writing Project. In 1996, to counteract a new law that allowed non-certified teachers to substitute, he won a national grant competition and created the first state-certified substitute teacher training program in America. "Buster" Hitt is a cranky, single, retired old man who worked for 25 years in various positions at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He has a daughter (former member of the band Twister Alley) who teaches college, a sister and brother-in-law who retired from two major retailers' home offices, a deceased father who was a well driller, a deceased mother who was a country singer and musician, and a deceased uncle who was a regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry. Gabriella Zorzi Ryan is originally from Montagnana, Italy, but has been living in the USA since she was 6 years old. She has lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and currently is in Richmond, Virginia. She wrote this, her first children's book, for her grandchildren, Ryan and Lia, with love. Gabriella has degrees in Mathematics and Piano Performance, but writing has always been her hobby. She is a church organist and piano teacher, who teaches about 20 children of all ages, from 4 - 84. She also loves gardening and cooking, and is eager to begin her next book!

Surviving nursing school, he moves to the woodlands of south Arkansas. He started in a small hospital ICU. He later discovers his passion for the ER. Life skills learned in the Army help and hinder as he learns more about nursing. He finds peace in a small country church. There he's welcomed home. He also finds a little girl and her mother. The are connected by a twist of fate. Chasing is dreams, life, and work become complicated. Ambulances, ER's, and helicopters keep him busy as he chases his dreams. He comes to the realization the being an ER Nurse is who you are, not what you do. Robert Burnham is from Camden Arkansas. Like his Father, he joined the military at eighteen. After the military, he graduated from Southern Arkansas University Department of Nursing. In almost forty years in nursing all were emergency care related. Working in Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and California, gave him an overview of the EMS System. The hospital level, he served as a staff nurse, charge nurse, department head, nurse educator, EMT, and flight nurse. The State level he served on the Arkansas State Life Support Committee. The international level, he served with the International Olympic Committee in Los Angeles during the Games of the XXIII Olympiad. He taught many aspects of emergency care to his peers. He maintained board certification in emergency nursing during his career. Retired, he and his wife live in central Arkansas. He enjoys telling stories about experiences in what he jokingly calls the Gar Hole.
