Thermal energy is everywhere. Examples include waste heat from power plants, data centers, and the metabolic heat of human skin. A possible way to realize thermal energy management is through thermoelectric conversion technology. Thermoelectric devices can directly convert heat into electricity and electrical power into cooling or heating. The former conversion can help recover part of the lost energy, and the latter can be used for low temperatureapplications.
