What if you could create any experience you wanted? You simply had to give that experience away to another, and it would be yours in the future? That is how karma works. You receive that which you give. Give that which you want, and it is yours. This book examines karma; how it works, and how to proceed with the new found understanding of how to live your life. This book also explains why we suffer, and how to change that. Through the past, present and future, we explore how our karma operates in our lives. How to resolve negative karma and create positive karma - and how to master the balance of these forces. Within you is the key to understanding how to create your dream. All you need to do is give away that which you desire, and it is yours.

CHANGING HIGHER EDUCATION FOR GOOD sets out an agenda for how global higher education can embrace change. It makes the case and shows the way for how applying innovation and technology, as part of strategies in new policy contexts, can deliver transformed equity outcomes for global learners.Arising from interviews with 50 leaders of universities, employers, technology companies and of policy bodies leading global higher education CHANGING HIGHER EDUCATION FOR GOOD draws on inputs from Australia, US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, and New Zealand. These leaders participated in interviews as part of the leading podcast for the global higher education sector called The Higher Education Experience. Some of their interviews have been transcribed in an appendix to the book yet all have co-authored sections that outline their ideas about transformation of the sector within five inter-related themes. These five themes concern the goal of a more equitable approach to democratised access to learning. They extend to how innovation and technology can be used by learning providers to achieve greater equity. They build into how strategies can be shaped to embrace these approaches to innovation and technology, and culminate in views of how policy can be framed to allow those strategies to thrive both in how governments provide frameworks for providers, and in how the collective actions of providers approach competition and collaboration.

This is a true story of how Bulleringa Station, in far Northwestern Queensland, evolved from a bush block to a cattle station of commercial breeding stock. It is now considered a natural reserve with outstanding flora and fauna. This narrative is a collaboration between Isla Costa and Glady Borgert and depicts the extraordinary experiences and challenging situations that made up everyday life while growingup with family and friends at Bulleringa Station in the far reaches of Outback Australia. At times, there is the raw brutality of everyday life, and then, the contrast of Nature's beauty. Yet, readers are certain to enjoy this compelling narrative that, although sometimes confronting, was typical of that era as this remarkable pioneering family faced many hardships and resentment from neighbours, but they persevered and stayed true to themselves.

In his youth, John took various jobs as a newsboy, a Western Union messenger, a cowhand in Nevada, and a clerk in haberdasheries in Nevada and Oregon. In 1903, John arrived in Seattle Washington and soon established his own men's clothing business. By 1913, he began to manage a nickelodeon theatre next to his store, primarily to attract customers to his clothing business. To his surprise, the theatre proved to be more profitable. Consequently, John decided to focus on expanding his chain of theatres. He named his business, the Sterling Theatre Company. Despite facing challenges such as two world wars, bankruptcies, the longest labor strike in Seattle's history, and the Great Depression, John Danz managed to achieve significant success. He passed away in 1961, leaving his theatre empire to his son, Fred.At the age of fifty-five, author Mark Hester's journey of discovery began. By 2015, he had successfully traced the majority of his ancestors back to the seventeenth century. Hester decided to undergo a DNA test fully aware that it wouldn't reveal anything new or surprising. However, the test results unveiled something unexpected - Mark Hester was twenty-five percent Jewish. This revelation left him puzzled. After spending forty years researching his family history, he had no indication of Jewish ancestry. What happened next would have a profound and lasting impact on his life.

Why is getting fired such a taboo topic? Whether you are losing your job due to redundancy, being considered unfit for the job, or a host of other reasons, getting fired can be a hugely traumatic event in one's life. We don't openly talk about being fired, because it's not something that people want to advertise about themselves. So when it happens to you, it's easy to feel like you're in a club by yourself. The Art of Getting Fired aims to coach people through the entire process of being fired, drawing on my extensive experience across the globe during which I have been fired, seen countless others get fired, and fired people myself. I outline the process employers go through when firing somebody and the reasons behind it, strategies to avoid being fired once you find yourself at risk, and what to do immediately after you've been fired. Plus, I help you process the various range of emotions and feelings you might experience, the practical aspects of what to put on your résumé, and how to approach a job interview. This book is for anyone who has ever been fired or suspects they might be fired, or managers who have to fire others. So let's talk about getting fired so that we can move forward from it and thrive!

Me: "I am going to start a book."Number 4 Child (seven years old): "Oh, please don't. You will spend less time with me and all the time on that."Number 3 Child (fifteen years old): "Mum, I love you, and I think you should. It will be nice and good for you, and it will be a good book. What will it be about?"Me: "I am not completely sure. Things in my life, I think. I could be here a long time."It took eight weeks to write but forty years to tell. A story of tumbling and turning yourself inside out to get answers buried deep within. Of growing up in a large, lively, and loving family with the dark companion of sexual abuse. This journey pulls apart the deep and complex puzzle of sexual abuse and the ripples of pain that then occurs. However, it also presents a beautiful example of how intoxicating and emancipating it can be when we give ourselves permission, time to grieve, and absorb and love who we have become. How a four-year-old girl manages to adapt her mind and imagination to ensure mental and emotional survival and then, when ready, as a forty-eight-year-old woman, is reunited with her child self in poignant and beautiful spellbinding moments. Childfulness demonstrates how challenging the subject of sexual abuse is in families and society. How knowing what to do is almost impossible for everyone concerned.
