The Girl in the Box (But Occasionally I Escape!) is my second book of poetry. It's written with all the emotions that the human spirit can possibly feel! This is not an anti-war book. Rather, the book is about the bad behavior of the US government in Washington, DC, in taking the country into military adventures when it is not necessary. To state that the country should never go to war would be irresponsible. Wars cannot always be avoided. A characteristic of the Unites States foreign policy establishment is their refusal to admit they made a mistake. There are never any consequences for invading the wrong country. The establishment carries on as if everything is okay, and they quickly forget about the dead and crippled. Currently, the US has approximately 800 bases in seventy countries. As of November 2016, the US was dropping bombs on seven different countries. This book does not favor either political party. However, some may disagree. In 1935, retired General Smedley Butler published a small book entitled War Is a Racket, which explained how and why the US Government manipulates the country into various wars and military interventions for power and their own selfish interest. This is an update on General Butler's 1935 book. Most of us have heard or read the following words many times. We are forced to go to war or do a military intervention to save our liberty and freedom, to make the world safe for democracy, a war to end all wars, to save the world from communist or whatever, to protect American lives, to save the world from a country that might possess weapons of mass destruction, etc. This is a book explaining how the United States government manipulated and lied its way into a number of wars and military interventions. This information will not normally be taught in your school history class or viewed on your history channel. This is not conspiracy theory stuff. You can look it all up. This information is available to all citizens if they care to research it. Some of this information may shock you.

The basis of the research was done over the past three to four years. It was pulled from many resources and other fathers' testimonies of their experiences dealing with the court systems and other government entities and also dealing with the mental aspect of rebuilding the bond between an estranged father and child. Each chapter deals with a step-by-step playbook that can help heal that cracked relationship.

Relationships become further apart as adults but children are one they so close. Becoming an adult is growing in the knowledge of self being a child growing in the knowledge of someone else. All that research study to come to the conclusion, men already know the younger the woman the greater the bond oneness.

Hello, my friend,Thank you very much for showing interest in my book. As for me, I was raised on the far southeast side of Chicago. I was a typical boy with typical interest (sports and play). However, all throughout my school days, I was told that my essays were stimulating and my poetry interesting. I didn't pursue either until thirty years later. My family was my life. I had married my high school sweetheart, and we raised our five children together. I worked as an electrical lineman for thirty-three years, and after retiring early, we moved to Tennessee.It was there that I discovered an article about the misfortunes of Ireland during the potato famine (1845-1849). The more I peered into Ireland's history, the more interested I became. Then at the onset of COVID, I had more sympathy for Ireland than ever before. Over the years, I have told many stories around a campfire in Algonquin Park during our family camping trips. My kids each have their favourite stories that I have to tell over and over again. Friends who were also with us had their favourite stories they wanted me to tell.The problem was that I never did write down the stories in the thirty years of telling. My family finally convinced me to write down the stories.This is a collection of the some of the stories I told and one my daughter told.The time seemed right to share the stories with everyone. Since the stories put smiles on many of my friends' faces, I thought it would be good for others.Each story is the perfect length for a bedtime story.Read to your young children.
