Like the Roman poet Virgil, John Secor guides readers through landscapes past and present, exotic and quotidian, personal and political. Each poem is a milestone that connects Canada to eastern Kentucky, Boccaccio to Brenonna Taylor, the witch in the Wizard of Oz to a mother whose shot of "Get Out" saves her child from a burning house. Each voice is distinct and compelling. Contance Alexander Dramatist, poet & oral history documentarian I love following John Secor's kaleidoscopic trip across time and borders, with perspective views of everything from sports to religion to family to the shock of current events. Please take a little time to follow his twisting turning life in terms of art, literature, and the occasional bicycle ride. I'm a fan, join me. Rihcard Hokansforester, photographer, poet

www.Dr.LewisNutrition.com www./TheNutritionGeniusSeries.com Today, maintaining or improving brain health is a hotly contested and discussed topic. Unfortunately, the overwhelming amount of information is typically not helpful or even based on good science. Moreover, many people do not understand that the answer to optimal health lies in utilizing what Mother Nature provides us, not in taking medications. Regardless of your level of interest about nutrition, your current health status, or your stage in life, "The Complete Nutrition Guide to Cognitive Function - The Nutrition Genius Series(TM)" by Dr. John E. Lewis will give you the best current scientific information that you can use to your benefit. This book summarizes the clinical trials in humans of 19 different classes of nutrients and phytonutrients and their effects on various indicators of cognitive function and brain health. All of this information is based on what the science shows in humans; not information from studies on cells, tissues, or animals and certainly not based on marketing hype. Every statement in this book is supported with the original scientific reference that you can look up to confirm its veracity. You also have a summary table that lists each article that was reviewed, the nutrient or phytonutrient tested, the amount taken, the subjects studied, and the effects on the cognition or brain health outcomes, giving you a quick tool to help you decide if you want to use any of these nutrients or phytonutrients. If you want to learn useful and practical recommendations about nutrients and phytonutrients that may help improve brain health and cognitive function, then this is the right book for you. Dr. Lewis has spent much of his career conducting nutrition research and evaluating different nutrients and phytonutrients for their ability to improve health, so you can count on him to deliver information that is accurate and useful in a no-nonsense manner.

A peek at a dangerous world from a safe distance. What Bad Men Do is a peek at an ugly world from a safe distance, told through the decades-long rise and reign of a London Face and the collateral damage to families and society. The astonishing wealth and power created by audacious banditry leave some to assess the risk vs. reward in their favour. Few do it as well as John Kohl, a very bad man.

Within Cocktail Melodies I have woven the story of my good friend and cheerful buddy Dan Teichman. His photo is on the front page of this book with a Pompano. He was a likeable gent, the inspiration for the composition of Lady gin. Truly, Dan was slowly taken in and warmly seduced by Lady Gin. Being loyal to her, he continued to have a full and productive life until the end when his liver gave out. He would daily repeat this pattern but only after his working hours were through or when he was on vacation. I wish that I could have done more to help him dry out and encouraged him to give up the sauce, but he would not listen and was not willing to change course. After his working hours he was always looking for another bottle of Gin and never tried to remain sober. Perhaps it was due to a haunting, broken love affair from his past. He could not shake the distant thoughts that were troubling him though he always tried to remain positive. He was stubborn but loyal to his Lady Gin of the bar up until the bitter end.

However, Saachi's angelic presence brings enchanting transformations to their world, turning into the "child of joy". As they embrace the changes, they learn that love transcends differences and family bonds defy expectations. With captivating illustrations and a poignant message, Saachi the Angel is a touching tale for all ages, celebrating diversity and the extraordinary connections that make life truly special.

Writing was always good for me, thanks to Mrs. McGowan, my 10th grade English teacher. She said that she liked them and that I should keep writing. As a teenager, I'd climb to the top of a favorite tree and write poems. Yep. Up in the tree with a pen and paper. The birds were scared but the squirrels didn't mind. Writing was a big part of my law practice, too. And after my divorce in 1990, tsunami of poetry came rushing out. With my girlfriend-wife, Sue, I learned what really deep, abiding love feels like. Most of the Romantic poems were written about/for Sue. Granite-strong fatherly pride was provided by my three adult kids: Mat (only 1 "t" because I didn't know how to spell Matthew when the nurse asked me: "What's the baby's name?") and two lovely identical twin daughters, Bethany and Kelly (by order of appearance).Along with the poetry came singing, from church choir to Clevland Opera in four years; then, songwriting to add deeper meaning to some of the poems. Poetry and music have taught me that if you can touch one person's spirit, soul, heart it's all worth it. Smiles are free. God has provided you with a lifetime of love. Pass it around.

"Frank Folsom Smith's long and illustrious career as a leading modernist architect whose award-winning designs have brought him critical acclaim, is deftly interwoven with his rich and colorful life. A leading member of what has become known as the Sarasota School of Architecture, Smith's TEST OF TIME, is a must-read not only for architects and historians, but also laymen interested in how the architectural "system" works. He thoroughly explains the process of how major and minor housing developments, buildings, and renovations transfer from the drawing table to completion. His richly illustrated book showcases the designs which made him one of the top architects in the Country, and I highly recommend it." Jeff LaHurd- Sarasota author/historian

After retiring from a successful career running his own business, Denny needed to find a part-time job that would allow him to keep mentally active and engaged. Consulting for Chrysler and the Air Force seemed to fit his criteria perfectly. Little did he suspect that he would uncover a rogue mission designed to kill the aliens that had brought a profound gift to Earth - dark energy machines that would provide limitless free energy and save our ecosystems. Tilting his head back, Denny ran through the current scenario and possible approaches. After a few minutes in thought, he came full-circle, 'They hired a race horse, this is not the time for me to become a petting zoo pony!'Calls with El Mohammad were always full of contrasts for Harper. Yousef El Mohammad had a smooth, deep voice and sincere tone, but Harper likened the calls to something like petting a purring lion The purring was calming, but the ever-present. Annoyed that he had to keep up the charade regarding the real purpose for the vehicle, and not wanting to be evasive any longer, Frank let out a heavy sigh and said, "C'mon, we need to go see the Colonel, I'll let him explain it to you."Patrick had been forced into a position he didn't like, but he saw no alternative. 'I don't trust them, so oI guess it's fair that they don't trust me. Ha! Mutual distrust, what a great working relationship!"
