Five weeks ago, four of my friends and I were living normal lives as ordinary middle school students. Our lives turned upside down when we were transported to a new world. Since then, we have become Wielders, trainers of magical creatures known as phasers. We formed a league team called the Dreamers and can battle other teams using our phasers. We have made a lot of friends as well as an enemy. With no way home, we are just trying to make our way in this new world, one adventure at a time.

Set in contemporary Seattle, SAVAGE SUMMER is a supernatural thriller as well as a love story. Duncan is forced to protect his new girlfriend Amber and the rest of the band from hungry bloodsuckers and the seductive tunes of Zeal, the vampire rock star. Meanwhile the ruler of the city's vampires, Sapphire, is trying to seduce Duncan. But all Duncan is really interested in is trying to be a normal kid who feels he has finally found a family with Amber and Savage Summer. Duncan struggles with his love for Amber versus the realization she might be safer if he just walked away.
