"Dharma Transmission" is an amalgamation of public talks and study group discussion forums within Western Australia from 2006 to 2020 on various topics, by those who engage with the Dharma journey within the context of this secular western approach to Buddhism, meditation, life, and actuality. This context was developed as a current functional understanding of actuality that was realized within a period of meditation on the 13th June 1980 and then followed by an actualization process throughout the various schools of Buddhism over thirty years, which is still ongoing. This collective journey is an attempt to make intellectual sense of the awakening experience, so it can be communicated to a new secular western audience, without recourse to anything supernatural, religious dogma, institutionalized belief, or other non-western cultural influences. The communication of the Dharma has never been about the communicator. It's always been about the communication itself. It's always been communicated, so that it can be tested, challenged, refuted, or realized within the direct experience, without the need of any belief aspect imposed by the confused and conditioned, self- referential mind. This book marks the transition from a single Dharma communicator within this context to a collective voice that recognizes the transmission process is complete.

The VISIONS 2100 Project was launched at the COP21 conference in Paris in 2015. In the first instalment, Stories from your Future, the 80 contributors told of their hopes and fears for the long term. "How did Liza manage all her businesses?" wondered modern-day writer Ellie Fuller as she continued her research into Liza Marchant's life. "We have mobiles, computers, video calls but all she had were letters. The successful Transatlantic telegraph system didn't come into play until after the Civil War." But even with the lack of immediate communication, Liza and the Fuller family took advantage of an opportunity presented to them in the form of land and government investment near New York which resulted in farming, factories and the new township of Daltons. "An opportunity not to be missed," Liza had said, and she had been right. As Ellie continued with Liza's story, she had reason to ponder the justice system in the 19th century, which was harsh, sometimes deservedly so, but at other times it was overly severe. She found that there were far reaching consequences for Liza and Jamie when they chose not to report the whereabouts of an escaped prisoner to the authorities. They had convinced them- selves that their only sin was one of omission, but it repeatedly came back to haunt them. Much to Liza and Jamie's surprise, Bella, the Duchess of Berkshire and her two boys arrived on their doorstep one day. They all appeared to enjoy the experience so much that they rarely left, which led to a lifelong friendship between the two families. Having read through another of Liza's journals, Ellie sat back and thought that if communication had been more streamlined in those days then she would not be able to read the letters and journals which pieced together all that happened in Liza's life. "I'm glad she didn't live in the so-called paperless society."

One who communicates the Dharma of the awakened mind is like the skeleton that points in the direction of the moon. They are not the moon. This book is a chronological, and in-depth exploration of philosophical quotes throughout recorded human history, from Thales in Ancient Greece to Tim Minchin in modernity. Four attributed quotes were selected from each philosopher, as samples that indicated the direction of their perspectives that formed the basis of their philosophies on a range of topics concerning the human experience. One quote per day was memorised, and then investigated within the meditative process to encourage new insights at the stage where the sense of self-existence is suspended and conditioned bias removed from the thoughts that arise during the latter stages of the process. After each session, a further period of contemplation and reflection outside of the meditative process resulted in this series of stand-alone, secular western Dharma communications, that make up the content of this book. The book acts as a quick and easy reference guide to the history and development of philosophy and also provides the opportunity for those who meditate to use the content and method used to realize their insights within their meditation practice.
