Faith under fire is a teaching on the principles of faith and how the believer can apply this in everyday life. This book is relevant in today's world where there is an avalanche of demonic activities against believers and the church. The word must be in the mouth and in the heart. This word will be tested but the believer's confidence and courage will be undaunted because of the word of God on the inside. Tests and trials come to deny and question the believer's faith but a revelation of the word in the heart will cause the believer to be unmoved in the face of negative circumstances. The believer's faith is an overcoming faith a gift of God which must be developed and fed continually. Jesus taught that the believer needs daily nourishing of his faith as much as he needs food. Gifts of the Spirit such as the gift of faith are released at set times by the Holy Spirit but faith to live every day in victory has been released to us when we received Jesus. Believers can, therefore, be victorious every day in every challenge.
Discerning Ditches is a clarion call to the body of Christ and her ministers to heed the warning of scriptures about deception in the last days. Mistakes of history must not be repeated. When the church descended into the dark ages, she substituted the Word of God for unscriptural revelations and the power of God waned. Discerning Ditches is an encouragement to the body of Christ to walk the straight and narrow putting the Word of God first. Results are not enough to justify unscriptural practices. Practices must be based on the word of God in the light of the redemption of the new creation. There are so many spirits that try to mimic the Spirit of God but the true word of God in the light of the believers' redemption is the ultimate litmus tests. Satan can parade himself an angel of light. Discerning Ditches is a courageous choreography of Christian ministry in dangerous terrain. The honest and graphic style reveals the rich tapestry of the author's multi-talented mind and biblical anchorage. This book could change your outlook of ministry for good in these end times.
Public perception of the police is an essential factor in their willingness to cooperate with the authorities in the fight against crime and criminality. But when the public dislikes the police and views them with suspicion and fear; the police has a harder work to do. Regardless of the number of officers employed by the police; it is impossible for the police to be everywhere. So the support of the general public is crucial to its ability to obtain good intelligence and build better intelligence picture of their communities. Human intelligence is still the most reliable core of any intelligence led policing effort. With the historical friction and mistrust between the police and the Nigerian people, cooperation with the police is seen as dangerous as it does not only expose you to reprisals but you could end up becoming the suspect as many have experienced. There also seem to be an apathetic attitude to public opinion by the police authorities with many (it seems) are too eager to please their political masters at the expense of public goodwill and perception. Evidently, it is the unlawful perception of police actions that make public trust more difficult to cultivate. Also, the police fondness for underselling their own achievements has exacerbated an already bad situation. Although this book is one of the by-products of a detailed three-year research into the Nigerian police, the research findings will be mentioned only where necessary. So the book will be a practical review of the police-public relationship in Nigeria, causes of the problems and possible solutions for improvement. We will explore tools needed to bring the police into the modern digital world our youths live in. How the police can better engage with the communities and more importantly how individual officers must become good ambassadors of the police institution through respect for the public and the rule of law in all they do. This book will surely help spark the needed debate and champion the creation of the roadmap for an improved public perception of the police and ensure effective community cooperation.
Operational policing has never been easy anywhere in the world. But there are additional challenges faced in Africa and especially Nigeria with the long colonial origin of policing in the continent. Going by media reports and on the social media over the past few years; law enforcement has become a vital tool employed by the state to directly or indirectly violate the rights of its citizen in many African societies. The frontline civil law enforcement organisation in all countries is the police. This book details the findings of a ground breaking research and field study into the challenges facing the Nigerian police. It not only reveals what the people think about the police but also what the police think about the police. It is very insightful and based on unique access to the police force. The objective of this book is to assess policing practices in Nigeria and suggest ways of developing and supporting good governance in its operations. This book is not about how Nigerian police can become like those in Western Europe, it is about how Nigerian police can operate within the provisions of the Nigerian Constitution and legislative Acts with all its national peculiarities. This book seeks to examine the challenges against good governance in the Nigerian police force and makes over forty recommendations for change. It is not good enough to just criticize the police for their excesses; it is needful to know why they behave the way they do. This book provides the answers many have been seeking and suggests practical ways we can all support the reformation of the Nigerian police for better constitutional outcomes. This is volume 1 of 2 volumes. The research conducted for this book identified five overarching areas of challenges. This book analyses two of them. So the next volume will deal with the other three areas.
We all know the creation story in the book of Genesis. God made Adam and Eve and put them in the garden He had already prepared for them. They enjoyed full supply, prosperity and abundance with nothing missing, nothing broken. So what would have happened if Adam and Eve had not disobeyed God? How would they have continued living in dominion on earth?Answering these questions require an understanding of God's secret code to abundance that was established from the beginning. In this new book, I will show you how God intended for His children to live on the earth, although our citizenship is in heaven. What is the secret and unique methodology for abundance God instituted specially for those that serve Him? For a long time, the Church has taught about Seedtime and Harvest as the only pathway to prosperity and wealth. This is correct, but not complete. The Bible states that Joseph was a Prosperous man for the Lord was with him. But there is nowhere in the Joseph story where he ever sowed a seed or offer any material offering to the Lord. So how did he prosper? He used God's secret code. Seedtime and Harvest principle was not directed exclusively at believers. It is a law that is meant for ALL that live on the earth. Regardless of your faith or religion, if you plant a crop in the right soil, it will grow. So this principle, just like the law of gravity, works for everybody who work it. But what is the unique attraction and benefit we get as God's children? There is a secret code God has put in place to enable His children prosper far above those serving Satan. This book will change your paradigm forever and equip you to embrace your destiny of abundance as a child of the King for dominion in His kingdom. We are set apart for for this unique blessing, now it is your time to prosper and occupy till He comes. Get ready to enlarge and increase as you possess your inheritance in Christ Jesus.
