History, herstory.... we all have a story! I am so grateful to God and thankful to my parents that I want to document our humble beginnings. Circumstances and opportunity provided the perfect time to make it happen! Nothing unusual here to share. However, as an intended legacy piece of work, I do want to encourage those of us of the "original crew" and enlighten future crew members. Simone is a God- fearing woman. She had a fulfilling career as an educator and has often been referred to simply as Erica's mom. She is very grateful for these last five years in which she's been enjoying her new found freedom that comes along with retirement as she navigates her second act. She resides in a suburb of Houston, Texas with her husband, John.
Today many are marrying people based off how they feel but not necessarily off how God feels. We tend to choose a spouse that we think looks the part, but it does not mean they fit the purpose. For better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part are some of the vows, we say but we forget to include in those promises a marriage filled with purpose For centuries, vows such as these have been spoken and promised as two people come together to form an unbreakable bond under the watchful eyes of God. Unfortunately, as the years have passed, these promises and bonds have been broken due to matters such as miscommunication, disagreements, or even fear of not knowing how to resolve a conflict. No couple is exempt from divorce, not even Christian couples. There must be a remedy to help begin a resolution to this unfortunate truth and author Shannon Sloan Johnson believes in a remedy that could help. Reaching out to those who wish to be married or for those who already are, Marrying My Purpose is a guide to give insightful pointers and reassurances to help couples strengthen and refresh the bonds that they have with their spouses. For some reason we think that the two words Marriage and purpose should be separated but on the contrary, they should be placed in the same category. Although we can choose to have one without the other, God wants us to see how these two subjects can come together as one. As you began to journey through Gods perspective on the ways of love, He will start to reveal to you the mysteries that surround His plan for your love life. Sloan Johnson examines how having a personal and intimate relationship with God goes hand in hand with having a similar relationship with a spouse by using stories and teachings from the Bible as well as real-world references. Ever since Adam and Eve, God has created each of His children with a purpose for them to complete and a partner to find and commit to because He only wants good things for us. When we pursue our purpose and then commit ourselves to another who is also pursuing their own purpose, God sees that as good. From seeking out one's purpose to merging that purpose with another is to fulfilling the promises of vows and more, couples are sure to develop new ways to strengthen the bonds they share with their spouses and with God to form a long and unified marriage that will last a lifetime.
THREE BORDER CITY "God Kept The Lights On" This book is the riveting testimony of how a girl with a troubled past faced conviction on First-degree murder charges and how she turned herself in. How a faithful couple of believers changed her life and helped her accept Jesus Christ as her personal savior while she was incarcerated. Her life after conviction transformed her into a spirit-filled woman of God and led her to assist as a translator in the same courts and legal system that tried her in a previous conviction. Your experiences do not define you. God always gets the final say. Claudia Miller is a community activist, legal, scholastic, and medical translator. She was previously incarcerated and God used a faithful believer to help turn my life and story around. Your experiences do not identify you. After all, that she went through, God used the same courts and legal system that tried her in a previous conviction to become her testimony of faith. It became an avenue that helped her turn her life around and translate for those who were sitting right in the same shoes she once fit. God works in mysterious ways, we don't understand what he is doing until he allows us to see his revelation of love when we look through life's rearview mirror. Claudia prays that God uses this to minister to the broken and the lost. That they may find faith when life is at its bleakest.
It is an evangelistic allegory. The story is wrapped around a businessman Purson N. Nead who is looking for hope and the meaning of life, and six people known as the Reapers who spend their life searching for people in need of Mercy, Grace, Hope, Faith, Joy and Peace. Purson N. Nead has a disturbing dream that causes him to cry out for help. This initiates an unexpected visitation from four, and then eventually six strange individuals who share with Purson that they have come because his heart has a serious need. Purson N. Nead is first frightened, but then intrigued as the visitors reveal secrets behind a mystery that has been hidden for ages and generations but is now being made known to everyone who will dare to seek for truth. As Purson spends time with the visitors, and learns how to resist and overcome the enemy of his soul, he not only finds hope and the answer to his life's question, but also a much better way to live in a place he never knew existed. "Heaven I Was There!" Jesus Christ, afforded my wife and I a visit to a street in Glory and a Mansion on that street. Without contradiction, we experienced our five senses being challenged to the core! HEAVEN is Real, therefore Hell has to be as well. This more than beautiful mansion that was before us, was amazing. When we approached the very large double doors, we walked into the foyer. I was amazed at the sights I beheld and the tremendous feelings I felt. But my beautiful wife Helen, could not see what was inside of this mansion other than the foyer! We agreed that she would write as I dictated to her what was happening. I visited my mansion for better than an hour; was introduced to my personal angel named Joseph, and then had a glorious encounter with my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. What an hour that it was! Timothy E. Garrison known as, "timothy e," loves the Lord Jesus; the moving of the Spirit of God, the ministry, America, and his dear family. He and his wife Helen have been in full time ministry since 1998. Prior to that, he owned businesses in Colorado and Southern California. During 1995 he received a mandate from God to either go into full time ministry or suffer the consequences for running, therefore he obeyed! At the beginning of 1995 at the end of a fast, "timothy e," experienced a trip to HEAVEN for over an hour. God has afforded him the opportunity to write about this more than glorious trip. Since, "timothy e," has continued to write, completing four books to date. His three other books include: 1. "America, things are about to change;" 2. "More Precious than Gold; and 3. "PLEASE STOP, Your Words Are Killing Me!"
No matter how low, dirty, or downtrodden a person can get, God will always welcome His children back with loving arms. Mary Jacobs was prophesied at a young age that she would do wonderous things in God's name. She was meant to stand on mountaintops and preach His Word to the masses around the world. For years, Mary grew up with her grandmother in a comforting Georgia home full of love, peace, and belief, awaiting the day God's plans for her would come to fruition. Until one day when everything changed in an instant... With the sudden passing of her grandmother, Mary is forced to live with her alcoholic birth mother and her boyfriend. Surrounded by sinful influences, Mary tries to heal and trust that God still has great plans for her, but that trust is broken one fateful day when her mother's boyfriend rapes her. Darkness takes over the light in her soul and she turns away from the God she believed abandoned her. A family friend and a college scholarship help Mary escape her tormentor as she travels to Southern California, but she no longer has the will to make smart choices. After a roller coaster of events and many years of bad decisions, the young woman finds herself in a life-or-death situation. In that moment, she learns that God never left her and His plans for her were only just beginning. Changing Filthy Garments: The Story of Mary Jacobs is a fictional tale of the factual spiritual warfare many of God's children face in life. A raw and emotional story of the highs and lows one young woman faces whose destiny seems to be robbed by a rogue assailant of the enemy, but through much spiritual intersession, she is restored and becomes a light to the nations.
Denisa Harvey shares her riveting story of how she navigated the caregiver role for an unpredictable and difficult to identify brain disease. Countless hard choices were made as she advocated for her husband while facing his confused resistance and even aggressive hostility. This compelling tale will keep you engaged and anxiously wondering how she managed to traverse so many precarious situations with patience and compassion. If the role of caregiver is either waiting for you down the road or you are in the process of adjusting to that new lifestyle; you are not alone and your emotions are not unwarranted. This fascinating book takes the reader through the mysterious and dramatic twists and turns of caring for someone you love but whose degenerative brain disease makes them unrecognizable. Justin Carter, LISW-CP Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years at LifeCare Hospice Walk with author, Denisa L. Harvey through the daunting illness of Frontotemporal Dementia. She was barreling down the road of life with husband Timothy, two children, a great job and a beautiful home in the quaint little town where she grew up. In the eyes of many they had it all. Truthfully, they certainly had all that mattered. However, in the early 2000s strange things began to take a toll on their family dynamics. It would be years of doctor's visits and counseling sessions before the whole picture of their destiny would be revealed. Eventually it was revealed in the form of an odd visitor that almost destroyed their family. Stroll down the road of life with this family who braved the odds in the face of FTD and refused to believe there were no answers. The Harvey family weathered one storm after another almost never knowing what was around the next curve. Denisa Harvey lives in South Carolina with a keen desire to share the lessons she learned through years of caring for Timothy. By sharing the difficult, times Denisa hopes to let fellow caregivers know they are not alone. In sharing Denisa weaves a tale of strength especially for caregivers who have sacrificed careers, retirement accounts and a life of normalcy to care for their loved one. These caregivers are members of a silent, reluctant army who march on without training and often without resources. They are your church members, your neighbors down the street and the people you work with day in and day out. "FTD, The Mime No One Invited to Dinner" can be used as an effective tool in facilitating caregiver support groups of any size. Denisa hopes to meet with support groups when possible and is available upon request, depending on location and availability.
God matters. That is the first and most important message you need to know about the book you hold in your hands. Secondly, you need to know that this is not your "garden variety" commentary on the Bible's book of Genesis. Nope, not at all. Though it may be written by your standard-model Southwestern American male (and Bible teacher of the past twenty-seven years), it's scope is far more focused and "ordinary" compared to most other "Bible books" you're going to find out there, or in any Christian bookstore. In his offbeat, unconventional, and conversational book, GENESIS MATTERS, author Michael L. Brunner reaches his steak-grilling, tennis-playing arms far out there, in hopes of grabbing readers who probably don't often go to church, don't have a biblical or religious background, and who strongly doubt if God can matter in their lives. Filled with witty stories, humor, and illustrations, this book seeks not to be "churchy, prim, or proper," but to be open-minded and enhance the views of all readers, especially those ordinary folks out there, like the author, who may not believe that God and Genesis have any relevance in their lives today, much less that God actually cares about them. Chock full of examples and applications current and relative to our "real-time" lives, it's designed to provide readers with insight on why the book of Genesis is relevant right now, and how it proves God's work in our lives matters as well. Michael was born in Austin, Texas and spent all his youth growing up in the Texas Hill Country. After graduating from college with a degree in business, Michael became an officer in the United States Marine Corps. Once his tour of duty was completed, he found his way back to Texas, and began his business career in Houston. While there, he met his wife Stephanie, and they have 4 children; Haley, Hope, Hannah, and Holly. In addition to working, Michael has been a bible teacher for over 25 years. When he is not working and teaching, Michael plays a lot of tennis, and believes that, at 63, his best tennis is in front of him. Michael is passionate about college football, likes to fish, will barbeque anything he can fit on his grill, and is currently debating on whether or not to reunite with golf (he divorced the game in 2003).

"Jan Love has been our friend for 55 years. She is a great woman of God. I love hearing her play the piano and sing. She has been a good mother and was amazing after losing two sons. I know her book will help others tremendously. I salute you, dear Jan." - Dodie Osteen, Co-founder, Lakewood Church, Houston, Texas "Jan is one of my oldest and dearest friends and co-laborer in the area of ministry and missionary evangelism. We met in 1972, 50 years ago at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. We became fast friends along with our spouses, her Tom and my Jackie, both having now passed. We knew each other's families and some of the children from birth. We have both buried sons and a spouse, so I can certainly identify with Jan's heartache. She communicates the pain and the miraculous recovery after the death of a child. You will cry with her and laugh with her as you experience her missionary adventures." - Terry L. Mize, World Missionary "There are times when God sends someone special into your life. Jan is one of those persons. We have known each other for forty plus years now. We met as employees at Oral Roberts University. Jan serves as a Board member for our evangelistic ministry, Revelations-Revealed Truth Ministries. She is a mother, an example to all generations, and one who loves the Lord with all her heart, mind, and strength. Her life experiences have positioned her to speak life into the lives of others. She continues to touch lives for the glory of God. I am humbled to be her friend. May the Lord bless her and may this book be a blessing to many!" - Dr. Clarence V. Boyd, Jr., Vice President for Student Life, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Amid a missionary calling, courageous adventures of faith, and undeniable miracles emerges a devastating story of heartache and loss. Faith in God shines through these pages to reveal that He truly is the Healer of Broken Hearts.

The Longest Pandemic focuses on the current state of American elementary education. The information in American Elementary Education: The Longest Pandemic is supported by effective school research. It provides strategies to help parents, teachers, and school board members understand the current deficiencies in elementary education and help them evaluate their own schools. The book presents historical information, noting the beginning of the slide to mediocrity, especially in elementary school reading and language arts programming. The information provided in The Longest Pandemic will help deal with poor instruction and other issues such as teacher unions and critical race theory. The author of this book, a former teacher, principal, and superintendent uses his own experience to illustrate the politics that influence the quality of elementary instruction. The Longest Pandemic provides readers with a concrete tool to deal with the problems in many American elementary schools. Patrick Dallabetta was a teacher, principal, and superintendent for 37 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in 1970 and Doctor in Educational Administration from Northern Arizona University in 1980. During his career he was elected as President of the Superintendent's Division of Arizona School Administrators and won many awards for his public school programs. As an administrator he supervised programs in curriculum, instruction, and special education. He was also an adjunct professor, teaching many different post-graduate courses in educational research, foundations, and school administration for Northern Arizona University. Dr. Dallabetta was responsible for many state and national presentations dealing with a variety of educational issues. In 1984 he represented the western school superintendents at a Reading Reform Meeting in Washington, D.C. and used his experiences to help develop an elementary school program that won state and national acclaim for outstanding student performance.

Eventually they realize the damage they've caused, and with Sherif Roo looking them in the eye, regret and dread sets in. We're the pranks worth the end result? Christopher Crow is a nice kid, but he has a problem with saying "no" to Wily Fox. Go on a journey to see what kind of trouble these two boys get into, and how do they correct the destruction they created? My name is Nancy Neres, and I grew up in a little town in Mississippi .This is my first of many children's books I want to write. I have a BS degree in psychology, I am a mother and a Nana. I'm also an acrylic painting artist, a potter, and an aspiring children's book writer. Years ago God revealed to me that children are our blessings. He impressed on me that they need tools, and social skills that will carry them safely through life. The Sandy Creek Series has lessons to encourage a honest heart that reflects actions that build character. Watch for my next book " Amanda Skunk and her Gift." God's gift are not always wrapped in a pretty package. But they are always what we need.
My book is a devotional for wounded and broken men. Good men who have lost their way and in need of a shoulder to lean on, or a word of encouragement. Contrary to what men have been taught, we do cry, just not in public. It's time we realize God's love for us is unconditional. You will get back up. God sent a stranger named Patrick Williams to walk a journey with me. He will send someone to you as well. About the Author: Keith Gore is from Southwestern Virginia. He grew up poor and without the stability of having parents. His childhood was shattered by abandonment, neglect, and both physical and emotional abuse. He buried these things deep inside his subconscious until a heart attack left him dealing with his own brokenness. He has shared his story with many individuals, churches and men's groups.
Saved-ish is filled with unforgettable characters who find themselves forced to "bounce back" from things all Christians struggle with. The cross the prodigal son "Brother Ben" has to carry, however, is heavier than most. Not only does he have to overcome his family's "snake-bit" past after a 20-year absence from his hometown, but he has to do so while invigorating his buck-wild home church's congregation as its interim pastor. Anything that CAN happen DOES happen at Sacred Ground. But it would include a breakthrough of all breakthroughs in the life of the least of them all. (And that's not even the cliffhanger!) The tumultuous tale of "real-life" Christians with "real-life" issues is entertaining and inspiring, but what shines the most is the tangible evidence it provides that - through Christ Jesus - it's never too late to be what you "could've" been. Saved-ish is only slightly fictional in that the protagonist's fall and rise mirrors that of the author. I was incarcerated as a teen because I was a follower as well. I blindly followed my so-called friends straight to prison. Thankfully, while there I found a new friend to follow. One that sticks closer than a brother: My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! And through Him, as well as my incredibly loving family, I have truly turned my childhood tragedy into my manhood's triumph. I have since earned my associates degree in Theology, become an ordained minister, a motivational speaker and, at last, a published author. Which allows me yet another platform to inspire and enrich. Making my teenage incarceration battle cry and not my crutch.
Chester L. Schneider, M.D., was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1922. As he states, "I came to know Christ as my Savior at age 12 and believed, at age 18, that God led me into full-time Christian service. This was implemented by graduation from Wheaton College (IL) in 1943 after God's further leading was toward medical missionary service. Shortly after graduating from medical school in 1947, I married a young lady I had met at Wheaton. We served Christ for 19 years in rural Alaska, I as a medical missionary. "I followed those years with embarking on the residency-trained, full-time practice of clinical psychiatry for 22 years in suburban Philadelphia. Retirement came at age 73 in 1995. My wife and I moved into a retirement community near Lancaster, PA. "Then came the urge to chronicle those years with two non-fiction books: MY ALASKA YEARS, published in 2001, followed two years later by THE MAKING OF A CHRISTIAN PSYCHIATRIST, both autobiographical. "For decades previously, I had been annoyed by the way we humans, Christians included, could be so thoughtlessly glib in so many things we, I included, both did and said. This resulted in WHADDYA MEAN BY THAT? containing 26 question-titled chapters aimed at stirring the thought patterns of readers. "So now, well into my eighties, comes the urge to write a novel. THE LAST STOP? focuses on a God-honoring farming family and their diversities, leading ultimately to life in a retirement community. Many of the couple's experiences there reflected many of my observations during the twelve years my first wife and I lived in such a place. Travel with me as I depict life's experiences of this farm family."
Very few would dare to compare any person, past or present, to the great 19th century preacher, C.H. Spurgeon. However, this author defies the masses and presents to the world, Rev. Walter Bowie, Jr., one of the few African American reformed preachers in America and perhaps the world. Rev. Bowie's letters, articles, and sermons have stirred the souls of many individuals, taking them from disgrace to grace that is only found at the foot of the Cross of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As with many reformed thinkers, Rev. Bowie's theological and philosophical position on many subjects presented in this collection are controversial. They have been particularly challenging to the traditional African American religious beliefs and world view. As witnessed by the falling away of many from the church and its fundamental beliefs, very few would dare to walk in the theological shoes of C.H. Spurgeon: however this one man stands tall in those shoes and has found God's grace to be sufficient in these dark days. The author, Deborah E. Willis, a close personal friend of Rev. Walter Bowie Jr., realized the value of his writings when she was just a child. She began collecting his letters, articles, studies in theology, and sermons when she was 15 years old; and now as an adult, is providing the collection to the world. Ms. Willis works as a Marriage & Family Therapist for the United States Army in Europe. She has authored two books with Xulon Press: (1) A Life of Agony & Praise, and (2) A New Season: From Deliverance to Praise (under revision). She is the primary editor for two additional Xulon Press books: The Price of Pastoral Care and Dealing with the Vision of the Church; and The Cross Bearing of a Pastor's Wife.
Experience the first-hand account of growing up in a poor family of 15 children in the rural Appalachians Mountains. The wonder and glory of God's word can never be completely told in a man's life time. Every thing is new every day. And just as the manna we need to have this word every day to prove his doctrine and to hear it out of the word of God (John 17: 8) say's he gave his word to the men that the Father gave him and Jesus prayed for them that they will show God's glory to the world that they are one as he is one with the Father. Jesus said I have manifested thy name unto them and they have kept thy word and your Word is everlasting life and they are sanctified through thy truth I have kept them in thy name. The wonder and the glory inside the Ark of the Covenant will show the lawgiver, the manna and the tree of life. He gives us the witness of death and taxes and the resurrection of the just and the unjust. He tells us the wages of sin is death, and the gift of God is eternal life our debt is paid in full. The greatest mystery.( I Timothy 3:16 ) And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness; God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory (I John 1:2) For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, Comfort one another with these words this day could be the day in Jerusalem.
If you looked at a cave drawing, would you conclude that an intelligent being drew it and that it didn't happen by random chance? The same could be said in the scientific world of astronomy, physics, or biology, and yet materialist ideologue scientists have hijacked the discussion with a one-sided atheistic view. In The Evidence for God, author Chris Singletary presents a summary of the leading prevalent intelligent design arguments in rebuttal to the current materialist understanding. Materialists have tried to silence the discussion of an intelligent designer as a potential hypothesis in their respective disciplines, but the best and most recent evidence decries that intelligence was at work in the natural processes rather than random, unguided chance. At the same time, institutionalized religion has led to incorrect, biased interpretations of key passages of scientific interest that further divide science and religion. There is blame enough on both sides for the antagonism. This book busts myths posing as science as well as myths posing as theological doctrine and unifies common thought for both. If God is found in science, and He is proven to be the author of Scripture, then they will speak in unison where they overlap, and where they do not, they will answer their own questions. Chris Singletary received his A.A.S. from Texas State Technical College in 1984 and was recruited from there to work for Martin Marietta Aerospace on the external fuel tank of the space shuttle. After a few years working at the Michoud assembly facility in Louisiana, God called him to go to theological college, where he graduated with a pastoral degree and did part-time work in the ministry while also working in the petrochemical field, where he has worked as a lead process analytical engineer and engineering manager for over thirty-five years.
