We all have our flaws: that is what makes us human. But has there ever been a flaw that has affected how you live your life? J.P. Brunette opens up about his in his memoir "A Road to the Left: Life on the Left Side." Growing up, he struggled in understanding and demonstrating gratitude, but after finding God, he took a good look at his past and made a plan to reshape his future. Honest, open, lively, and enjoyable, Brunette's story is an excellent reminder that it is never too late to change who you are. J.P. Brunette is a passionate believer in Jesus who loves serving the LORD. He enjoys public speaking, feels the LORD calling him into full time ministry, and is an intercessor for Israel. While spending time with his three kids and wife in small town Gladstone, Michigan, he is working on authoring several more books. When he's not engaged in his numerous commitments, he's an avid car enthusiast, cook and baker, and artist, to name a few.
In this brief writing Rev. Leonard C. Walker will discuss some considerations of behavior related to pride, as presented in the Holy Bible. In contrast to how others may express their pride-fullness in today's society. In today's society, this contrast is seen by the author in light of theology, historically, ideology and culture, as related to those beliefs found in Black Pride, Gay Pride and or White Pride.
A Proven Criminal Justice Model Direct and powerful prisoner testimonies by successful graduates of College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) breathe undeniable life into this remarkable story about the power of hope and the possibility of redemption. Confronted with an overcrowded jail overflowing with hopeless brothers and sisters, Dr. Aland Mizell conceived of CEBB as a light to shine into darkness. Making that light a reality required to seek out and create effective partnerships with government officials, criminal justice agencies, and forward-thinking university administrators. CEBB's academic courses and mandatory recovery program offer prisoners a realistic hope for transforming themselves into productive members of their families and communities, heightening success at reentry and lowering the chance of recidivism. The author calls for replication of this academic and rehabilitative initiative across the Philippines and the passage of a a Second Chance Act. "College Education Behind Bars is a symbol of hope in the era of mass incarceration. Through this innovative higher education program, Dr. Aland Mizell offers purpose to PDL, preparing them for release and demonstrating that education that should be available even to those behind bars - it's a gateway for second chances especially for those desiring a better future." Dr. J. Prospero "Popoy" de Vera III, Chairman, Commission on Higher Education, Office of the President, Republic of the Philippines "The College Behind Bars program that Aland Mizell built in the Davao City Jail is essentially a miracle: a thoroughly developed and incredibly organized education program in one of the most challenging settings I have ever laid eyes on. It is testament to what is possible when we truly believe in the power of education to change the world." Dr. Baz Dreisinger, professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, founder of Prison-to-College Pipeline, executive director of the Incarceration Nations Network, and author of Incarceration Nations: A Journey to Justice in Prisons Around the World Aland David Mizell, founder and COE of College Education Behind Bars as well as Minority Care International, earned his master's degrees in political science and public administration and a doctorate in political science with an emphasis on minority politics. He reads and speaks several languages adding to the breadth of his research on alternatives to violence, incarceration, and hopelessness. He is an American social entrepreneur and scholar, living in the Philippines.
I believe that all our accomplishments in life are a result of God's direction. If we allow The Lord to lead us we can never fail. I was born into an environment where alcohol was dominant. Having lived in one room shacks on migrant farms and not knowing if you would survive the situation you were in. Our biological parents would leave us sometimes for weeks. We were in three foster homes before the state of Michigan decided that we had suffered enough and took us from them. We were all three adopted by William and Ora Murdock. I was in my twenties, when I was introduced to Christ. I have been married to the love of life for 48 years to Pastor Charles M Willis. Before we had taken the steps to take our marriage vows the Lord let me know that He had a purpose for Charles, That was preaching the gospel to lost souls. Being a pastor's wife was not one of my goals. I had made a commitment to marry Charles, before I knew his calling. There is such a blessing in allowing Christ to lead in all the decisions we make in life. We have two daughters Crystal and Sharone and four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Lord has been the center of our lives.
The liberation struggles and the civil rights activisms of the 19th and 20th centuries inspired Moses Kainwo's Great Freedom Fighters, reimagining and imaging twelve of such liberators in this collection of poems. From the politically, rationalist activism of Simón Bolívar to the anti-ethnicism of Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., etc. A thoroughly documentary list of poems that rationalist thinkers will relish. Philip Foday Yamba Thulla, PhD., Njala University. Moses was born in Sierra Leone in 1955, and is an ordained minister living and working in his country. He enjoys the company of his two daughters and their children especially after the death of his wife. He writes for both children and adults and has been published in anthologies. He published an earlier version of poetry entitled Ayo Ayo Ayo and other Love Songs in 1915. He has worked with others to promote writing in Sierra Leone. Some of his poems were published in the German language plus a children's story book published in French.
Nothing ever catches God off guard or frightens Him. In Psalms King David stated "Behold if I make my bed in hell, thou art there" Psalm 139:8. After reading this book, I hope you are able to conclude with me in saying, our situations may never always turn out just how we want them to but they will certainly be for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Knowing that One so omnipotent and all wise orders our every step brings about a peace that is unfathomable in a troubled world. Take time to see His hand at work in your lives every day and let it bring a smile to your face when you think, "Who could it be but God?" Denese Richards has compiled stories of her life in Jamaica, West Indies, where she was born and bred, and in England, where she is currently a citizen. In this book, her first, she shares experiences of ups and downs, highs and lows of life; she never fails to accredit their miraculous outcome to that of only divine interventions. Denese is a firm believer in God's ability to come through for those who trust in Him, even when things seem impossible.
Stewardship is usually associated with money. Yet a steward is someone who cares for or manages the affairs of someone else. We are called to manage God's creation. An executor has a source document - a will or trust from the departed person to carry out their wishes. As God's stewards, our source document is the Bible - our Farmer's Almanac to use as we plant the seeds of conversion, till and fertilize the soil of our hearts and those of our parishioners so that we fulfill God's promise of salvation to the world. We will be His gardener, farmer and caretaker - depending on the size of our parish's garden or field. Stewardship is both "hard" and "heart" work. By sharing my own stewardship journey, I've tried to take the "hard" part of stewardship out of the equation, by revealing to you the "heart" plans and tools used at my parish. Since age 14, Michael has had a passion for writing. His first book, In Search of My Orange-Colored Sky, was a collection of poetry written during high school and college. The real literary calling came in early 2020 as God revealed to him in a dream his next book. Six months later and 20-years after his first book, A Stewardship Journey, was written. Born in Germany, Mike is the second of three generations who have served in the U.S. Air Force. Mike graduated from Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida; Troy State University; and the University of the Philippines. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus for 30+ years, serving in various leadership positions, as well as being an usher, parish council member, and a stewardship director. Mike, his wife, Edna, and their two daughters, Kristina and Michala, reside in Corona, California, and are parishioners of St. Matthew's Catholic Church.
A shadow draped the city of Jerusalem in confusion. Darkness covered the land, only to reveal the glorious Light it attempted to bury, but the Light returned to its dwelling place, and obscurity blanketed the city again. The lives of those who believed in the Eternal Light, Jesus, Son of God, faced testing and trials; however, they also experienced renewed faith, hope, redemption and forgiveness. They fled their homes with new enemies in pursuit, and sought refuge in the Galilean hills, hoping the Light would return. Continue the journey of Selah, Kezi, and those who also searched for Truth; and Simon, son of Selah, the Watchman, who guarded each life, until his own was placed in jeopardy. Author of Selah, musician and former business owner, Joni has lived in South Florida over forty years and has come to enjoy the simple pleasures of life; nature walks, reading and relaxing at the beach. She has a passion for history, especially His story. Over the years she has served in her local church as a leader in Women's Ministry and on Worship Teams playing violin.

Growing and Maturing as a Christian is a roadmap for those who wants to grow in Christ, but have questions regarding their new identity in Christ. You may be a "baby" Christian, a growing Christian, or call yourself a regular church-goer, but have no idea of how your "New Creation" was wrought in Christ through his redemptive work at the Cross. This book will help you understand the finished work of Christ, the phases of your gift of salvation, your justification as a righteous one of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit as a person of the triune God. It also explores the process of growing and maturing in Christ: from your surrender, to sharing the gospel of Grace, and arriving at a junction of the path to maturity. May the Holy Spirit enlighten your spirit through wisdom to comprehend the truths shared in this book.As a former Child protective Investigator for many years, he became led by the spirit to help redirect and teach biblical truths to young adult men incarcerated. Have you ever been confronted with the questions, Can God become a man? Is not incarnation a violation of the natural law? The Christian says incarnation is the pulsating beat of the heart of Christianity and that God became a man, yet the formidable question is, how? Has theology or science found a solution? The historical Jesus of Nazareth is arguably the most influential person ever to walk on the face of the planet Earth. For the past 2000 years, thousands of books have been written about Him, and yet, no book has been written about the mechanism by which the eternally existing God - the Christ - became Jesus, the Man in the Flesh. This book precisely explains this mystery by looking through the prism of the scientific discipline of genetics. In this book, you will: ●Discover how science (genetics) has already shown what the Scriptures have promised.●Gain scientific understanding about how God became a man.●Understand the scientific basis for the phrase, "Word Became Flesh."●Acquire scientific knowledge that will revitalize your spiritual life and empower you to defend your faith. Sam Rose is a former senior post-doctoral research scientist at Columbia University, New York and a research fellow at Rutgers University, New Jersey (University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). He spent more than fifteen years studying the intricacies of the immune system. His genetic research has focused on the role of HLA (Human Leukocyte Antigen) genes in human autoimmune diseases and HIV/AIDS. In 2000 he was struck by an insidious illness and confronted by the last visitor, but God preserved him for a unique purpose. Since then, he has been examining the relevance of science (genetics) and theology with particular emphasis on Christianity. After 18 years of clinical trials, he lives to tell one of the greatest mysteries God has revealed to mankind. He holds a Ph.D. in Immunogenetics from AIIMS (All India Inst of Med Sciences, New Delhi India). He is the Founder and President of Incarnate Word International. Our career is one of the biggest parts of our lives. We spend forty-plus hours a week, week after week, month and month, year after year at our jobs, and we rely on our positions to provide for our families and gain a sense of fulfillment that we are contributing to society in some way. Throughout our careers, however, we can run into unexpected challenges, which can range from a bump in the road to a devastating hurdle, one we often didn't see coming. Author Gregory S. Cope has been there, and he is here to share his story with you. Momentum: The Transformational Power of Leadership by Gregory S. Cope is a compelling book which details the author's leadership lessons he's learned throughout his over thirty-eight-year career. From small privately-owned companies of fifteen employees to large Fortune 500 companies with tens of thousands of employees, Gregory has had a front row seat to watch leaders and the organizations they lead rise and fall, and he has witnessed firsthand how leaders can help propel their companies forward with the power of momentum or can stop progress dead in its tracks with their power braking tendencies. Through his experiences-some good, some bad, some shocking-Gregory shares three distinct styles of leadership he's learned and discusses how readers can help the organizations they work for solve problems on a daily basis, build stronger teams, reduce cost, and help increase revenue. Whether you're just starting out in your career or are a seasoned veteran, if you're ready to grow your leadership skills and be the kind of leader your organization needs, this book is for you. It's an inspiring story of God's faithfulness, one you don't want to miss. Gregory S. Cope grew up in Scottsdale, AZ where he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing sports and working on cars more than reading books, that just seemed kind of nerdy to him. Greg is now a published author purely by the grace of God. What does it mean to be a Christian? If we profess our faith in Jesus Christ, do our lives express we are His followers? I Call Myself a Christian...Am I? is an exploration of the foundational elements of a true believer's Christian faith and the lifestyle patterns that characterize a genuine follower of Jesus Christ. Kathleen provides an in-depth, biblical understanding of what it means to be a Christian, highlighting the hallmarks that let us know for certain we indeed belong to Christ. "I trust this book will be a great help to many, as Kathleen gets straight to the point, writing with clarity and a sense of urgency about life's most important question: what does it mean to be a true follower of Christ? I appreciate that she does not shy away from the subject of sin, yet speaks the truth in love, and grounds everything she says in the sure foundation of God's Word. She wisely emphasizes our need to count the cost of following Jesus, but also the cost of not following Him, and wraps it all up with a powerful and clear explanation of grace-that costly love of Jesus, displayed on the cross-without which the Christian's hope would be nothing more than wishful thinking." - Jon Sanné, Lead Pastor, Calvary Chapel of Olympia. Born in Minnesota, raised in Texas, Kathleen has resided in the Pacific Northwest since the age of twenty. She earned degrees from Saint Martin's and Chapman Universities and co-owned and operated a small business for 18 years. Her favorite place is home, and she enjoys baking goodies, making soap, and spending time with her husband, Steve, and their dog, Jackson. Kathleen became a "Precept Upon Precept" Bible study leader in 2015. She co-leads a women's Precept Bible study and leads an in-home Precept study with family and friends. Though Kathleen believed herself to be a Christian her entire life, it wasn't until a little over a year after she began studying God's Word that she came to realize she was not. As the awareness grew brighter of how easily we can be deceived by our own faulty thinking, Kathleen felt God impressing upon her heart to share with others what she discovered in God's Word about what it means to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. In March of 1947, Linda and her parents moved to a farm in Illinois where she was raised. When she was about nine, she started to care for all sick farm animals. She had a special love for them and a "oneness" with them. They loved the attention she gave them. It was common to see one or more of them following her while inside or outside of their pens. The smaller ones often sat with her on a bale of straw inside the barn. The story about Wilbur, the Miracle Pig, is entirely true to every detail and was put to print after Linda broke her hip on Labor Day, 2011. As a result, she underwent physical therapy for almost a year. While in one of the therapy sessions, she observed a little boy who was seven or eight and who was in physical therapy for a broken leg. He definitely was NOT doing well with his therapy. Linda and her therapist went to talk to the little boy. After hearing the Wilbur story, the physical therapist strongly encouraged Linda to put the story to print and place it in hospitals where there are children's physical therapy departments....and that's how Wilbur, the Miracle Pig became print. By the way, the little boy responded and said, "I guess I can do it (physical therapy)! I only have one broken leg, not two like that pig." Author Linda Zirzow's WILBUR, THE MIRACLE PIG follows the story of a young pig born with broken legs and one shorter leg, who, supported with the love and care of a special little girl, rises above all challenges and troubles to lead a great life.
We are at war and Satan does not want us to live in peace. Satan attacks you in some way in all three realms, so we need to be educated on them. God inspired me to write this book to expose the enemy and teach you how to fight. You can be saved but lose the fight because you do not know how to fight. Satan will bring the fight to you whether you are ready to fight or not ready. Do not just read this book but study it so you can teach other Christians how to fight. So many Christians back slide because they did not have anyone to teach them how to fight the invisible enemy.
Masterpiece is a collection of life learned experiences that brought me to a place of freedom, joy and peace. Experiences that molded me to walk the path that I was created for. Some of them brought pain, but they also brought a greater understanding of who I was and how God viewed me. Many taught me my value, and how to value the differences that each of us have as well as to accept the paths that each of us walk are different. Some of those lessons are hard to learn, but God as our creator has put you into this life to complete a purpose. God looked upon all he created, and he said it was good. You are His Masterpiece. Accepting and understanding the seasons of our life, can bring great strength to accomplish what you think you are unable to accomplish. To overcome hurts you just cannot let go of and find healing. Before sunset two men would be dead, and another in hiding. Each of them would become famous for the events that fateful Friday. Jesus, Peter and Judas. You think you know the story, but do you know the lesson? In this account of two betrayals, Sebastian Lucido reveals the events and choices that led each man to their very different destinies that week in Jerusalem. While both Peter and Judas considered themselves a faithful friend and a loyal follower of Christ, each man chose a different path that week in Jerusalem. The Rock and The Serpent is an intimate character investigation into the souls of Peter and Judas. After years of following Jesus, what could lead two men to denying Jesus that Passover Night? How is it that two normal, intelligent, seemingly well-intentioned human beings follow the same Teacher - and yet one of them would fail to learn the simplest and most essential lessons of the heart? At the same time, we will look at more pressing and contemporary questions: What essential lessons might we be missing from their stories? Which of these two men is most like us? And which story could have been your story, if you had walked and talked with Jesus two thousand years ago? Two Men. One Decision. What does it mean to follow Christ?
There comes a time in all of our lives when we experience a cry from within. Whether faced with personal, professional, familial, or financial difficulties, the pressure of life can become overwhelming, and we can feel like we have nowhere to turn. Author Jacqueline Houston knows this cry well, and through her experiences, the Lord gave her a newfound hope and purpose in the midst of painful circumstances. A Virtuous Woman of War: A Cry from Within by Jacqueline Houston is an inspiring book which discusses what to do when we find ourselves in a place of desperation and despair in life. Taking an in-depth look at different passages of the Bible, Jacqueline examines how biblical characters responded to the trials and tribulations of life and how the Lord used the pain to help them grow and fulfill His plans for them. Inspired by the author's cry from within as a result of her and her family being treated as insignificant by those closest to them, the book includes questions for readers to engage in self-reflection and challenges readers to face their struggles and actively trust that the Lord is working their situation out for their good, strengthening themselves into the spiritual warrior God wants them to be with prayer, fasting, and reading the Word daily. If you are ready to move from a victim to a victor and overcome what life has thrown at you, this book is for you. Cry out to the Lord and allow Him to transform your pain into something greater than you could ever imagine My name is Jaqueline Houston and I was born in Arkansas and raised in Michigan. Over the span of my youth I lived in Michigan, Arkansas, and Chicago. My mother died from cancer when I was 7 years old and that is when I moved to Detroit, Michigan to be raised by my aunt. When I became an adult I got married and my husband became a Pastor. I was a First Lady for 10 years before I became a Co-Pastor. I enjoy preaching and teaching the word of God, I love spending time with my family, I love to travel, and I love to sing and worship. My family and I have traveled from city to city and I love every moment of it. I was inspired to write this book because I had a cry from within me that yearned for more. I was tired of the things that I was facing in my life and my heart was crying within me for more of God.

The time between loss and healing, depends solely on your approach. What if instead of viewing grief as a dreaded, unwanted burden, we embrace it as a season that we are promised to not only encounter but endure? What if we learn to find the good in grief, and use it to change our perspective and promote better, quicker, healing? God is with you. God has promised that he would never leave you nor forsake you. With this in mind, you should be better prepared for whatever may come your way. Though unwanted and many times unexpected, grief does not have to break you and keep you from the joy and love of the Father. Carry On, should help you to know that though difficult times are promised, they won''t last always, and you can move forward. Mz. We Shall Reign is a thorough introduction to "the Gospel of the Kingdom" principally through the lens of Traditional Premillennialism. In Part 1 the author explains, first, how God''s elect saints, or "the Israel of God," are related naturally and through adoption by God''s promises to Abraham. He then "paints" the big picture of the Kingdom of God being brought to its fruition when Jesus returns as King reigning on Earth with His saints. In Part 2, the author theorizes how Greek philosophy was the principal agent that changed the biblical Kingdom of God on Earth expectation into a Platonic "Heavenly Ascent" theory that Christians should reject.Williams concludes the book in Part 3 with a concerning overview of the warfare taking place today, and how the looming Marxist New World Order is setting the stage for the devastating reign of Antichrist. We Shall Reign is, therefore, both an urgent call to Christians for action against the coming threat of Antichrist and a word of hope regarding the coming Kingdom of God and the role of Christians as kings and priests in it. This book, while controversial, is guaranteed to get the attention of any thoughtful and serious Christian. Mr. Williams has been a Christian for over 40 years. He is married to his wife, Jean, and they have three adult children and three grandchildren. He obtained his B.S. Public Administration & Business Management degree in 1982 before working in the business world for 23 years. Williams since has worked as a Christian school teacher for more than 12 years and recently obtained his Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree in 2020.
When Marney set out to find God, she got totally lost. Her lusty desires, other people's philosophies and deceptive spiritual pitfalls led her into a pattern of dangerous traps. Whether it was meditation, drugs, feminism, or Hinduism, it all resulted in the same sort of thing: false self-worship. Still, her broken heart yearned for truth and love. Fortunately, Truth and Love was also pursuing her passionately. In one explosive moment, Marney met Jesus. Read how that powerful encounter rapidly gained her freedom, purpose, peace and a wonderful hunky husband. I caution you not to read the end first. Let the surprise sacrifice there really surprise you. Marney's tale may seem extreme and unlikely. But, please don't judge her! You just might recognize a strangely familiar rabbit trail out of your own amazing story in this quirky journey. Marsha Blackford first encountered Jesus while working in an abortion clinic. Much like the stiff-necked Hebrew people in the wilderness, she had a direct word from God. And turned to idols. She knew that abortion was murder and quit. She knew that Jesus loved her and forgave her. But she stubbornly ignored Him for 30 years. That crazy decision got her involved with the Hare Krishna movement. After 25 years in that cult, 13 of which she ran the society's newspaper, the author met a man of God. He led her into Christ's Kingdom once and for all and they married happily. She is now widowed, volunteers at a Christian crisis pregnancy center, and prays for you.
