Bag om 30 Days with a New Believer (Follow Up)
Philemon 1:4 I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers, Vs 5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; Vs 6 That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Paul in the above letter to Philemon speaks concerning the believers' faith being effective as a result of the believer coming to a full comprehension of who he is in Christ. This implies that upon receiving the gospel and becoming a believer, there are things; information that he must be aware of in order to be an effective believer. This invariably means that until the believer is made aware, made to understand these things, he cannot be effective as a Christian. Thus, there are things to learn; who you are in Christ, what you have in Christ and what you can do in Christ. The believer also needs to learn about his responsibilities as a believer. The teaching (training) would be incomplete if all the believer learns are his rights in Christ but no responsibilities. The believer must know with all certainty, his rights in Christ and equally pay attention to his responsibilities.
