A Shadow Over Shanghai

This, the third installment of the Cecil Herbert Woolley Mystery series follows Cecil, his beloved Clemency and their manservant Benedict as they travel to exotic and dangerous Shanghai to help the daughter of a former WW I colleague of Cecil's. The time is the late 1920s and Shanghai is a hotbed of opium, violence and political unrest, but Woolley, a consulting Occult detective, finds more than politics are afoot. Ghosts, seances, dancehalls and the threat of war cast many a shadow over Shanghai.
