During the Revolutionary War, General Priestly entrusted his children, Sally and
Roger, to help their mother deliver the money to pay the Continental Army. After
their home was attacked and burned by British soldiers, they managed to escape
and set out on their perilous mission to bring the payroll to General Washington. Th ey struggled through countless obstacles, knowing that if they didn't succeed, it would halt progress in the war. Hardships like the ones in this story, based on truth, were endured by many to bring about the privileges modern Americans enjoy today.
