In this prequel to 2012's HEART-GLOW: A NOVEL, readers meet young Eric and Patrick, as well as their parents and grandparents, in a story that spans the 29 years between 1963 through 1992. Readers discover all that leads to Eric becoming lauded as the most revered King de Valdavia. More importantly, we understand the deep and far-reaching causes and consequences of his deep pain over Patrick's untimely death. We watch him mature into the benevolent young man who ultimately rules Valdavia with faith and compassion. We suffer with Eric upon the deaths of family members and friends.
