Bag om ...and up to nine!
"...and up to nine!" is a rare book about breastfeeding that is witty, engaging, and funny.
It is short yet packed with action, full of line drawings and vibrant text. There is a murder, a few philosophical interludes about art and friendship, a little erotica, and a lot of love inside. Not to mention boobs and kids.
The author shares her nine-year-long breastfeeding journey (five of them spent nursing in tandem) in a funny and easy-going manner. It is not just a parenting manual, but a great read and a pure joy for everybody, even for those with no children in the works.
The author's hobby is looking through windows to other worlds-and this book is definitely a window into hers. You will love it!
The book was long-listed in Stockholm Writers' Festival First Page Award (there were 38 titles out of 583 in the long list).
Here are some of the readers' comments:
Awesome book! I would give it to all my birthing mothers: )

I read it and can't stop laughing. I started with fear-how can I squeeze this book into my schedule?-but it was so funny and pleasant that I forgot all about the time.
Marina Kopylova, founder of Russian online breastfeeding community, and mother.
It was a pure joy! I don't believe this book will succeed as propaganda material, as I think those already skeptical will just flip the pages believing "Ah, fool of a woman!" (and she even states inside that it cannot please everybody). But I believe in the book's success as a literary read: the style and illustrations are just amazing!
