Applications of Teichm Ller Theory to 3-Manifolds

This book contains a modern treatment of the Weil-Petersson geometry of Teichm ller space and an exposition of some recent results on the volume of convex cores of hyperbolic 3-manifolds. It also contains a complete proof of the ending lamination conjecture for hyperbolic 3-manifolds which are diffeomorphic to the product of a surface with the real line and whose injectivity radius is bounded from below.
