Bag om Are These Really My Pants?
I mean really?Who picks up a book with a big pair of pants on the front of it and seriously considers reading it? Hmmm. Was it the title that intrigued you? (If so, why would a title about "pants" intrigue you?) Was it the word "cult leader" that drew you in? (If so, I'm not exactly sure that you are proving the healthiest person. Is it sheer fascination that is drawing you in?) Fascination is not always the best reason to spend an hour reading a book, because fascination itself is not always a good thing (just think toddler and light socket). But I must admit, you are holding a really good book in your hand right now. That said, I'm still not sure your motives for reading it are all that sound. Personally, I think you need a better reason than big pants, the term "cult leader," and sheer fascination in order to read this book. So, how about I go around the Ellerslie office and have a few people comment on why you should read this book. That way, you can read it in good conscience, knowing that a lot of really trustworthy people consider it a valuable use of your time. Sound fair?WHY YOU SHOULD READ ITIf you like the "Eric Ludy" brand of humor (which, I personally do), then you will spend an hour laughing out loud while reading this short book. Remember, according to Proverbs 17:22, "a joyful heart is good medicine." This book will certainly be good medicine for those that read it.Sandi McConnaughey, Dean of Women, Ellerslie Discipleship Training Could I get a pair of pants like that? Hey Pharisees! Don't forget Nathan Johnson next time you ship out some denim!Nathan Johnson, Pastor of Discipleship, Ellerslie Discipleship Training Any book that can make huge pants somehow seem like a treasure deserves an hour of your time. So, go for it. Read it!Dan McConnaughey, Pastor of Biblical Studies, Ellerslie Discipleship Training The fact that I could read this book and actually enjoy it shows me that this is a pretty special book. I've hated these pants for far too long. I've decided to join with Eric and start celebrating all this unwarranted denim!Leslie Ludy, Wife of the author
