Asinotherapy

Donkeys bring people together across borders. This book has been created through a collaboration of donkey therapy practitioners in Denmark and Italy. We have shared our knowledge and experience of how Animal Assisted Intervention can be used as a therapeutic method to help people. When people interact with donkeys, it creates well-being and joy. This interaction can assist in the development of learning and language in children, and presents new experiences. With this book we bring the reader into a world that is unknown to most people, and that has rarely been written about. We describe and analyze our practice with donkeys and humans. The authors, with their very different backgrounds and approaches to working with donkeys, contribute in their own way to the creation of this book.
