Ava's Fight

While deployed in the Army, Luke McIntosh makes sure he communicates with his daughter Haleigh as much as he can! He develops a perception about her second grade teacher through their talks about her progress in school. When meeting Mrs. Ava Morgan in person for the first time, he realizes his perception did not do her justice! It was love at first sight for him! He was so in love that he was searching for the missing wedding ring that was not on her finger. It was not love at first sight for Ava. She was guarded, hurt, and ill. She was giving up on life. She had been fighting an uphill battle for so long that she refused to continue to fight. Once Luke discovers she is up against a plethora of issues, he talks a good game about fighting with her. Luke is faced with not only fighting with her. He is faced with fighting for her, losing himself while fighting and losing her to the fight.
