This book collates the ancestry of Hughie Higgins, who was born into a travelling family at Crudie, New Byth, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 14th November 1894. The fingers of his left hand had also been amputated as a result of war injuries. His regiment's war diaries from the Battle of Loos, Northern France where Hughie was injured are included.
