Den første afdeling: "Digte" er nye skridt på vejen frem mod den endelige udfoldelse af hans poetik og poetiske erfaring. I de særlige afdelinger præsenteres nye genrer, fx "Large Motive Collider Experiments 2018" og "Omkring årtierne - en digtrække", nemlig af digte til de forskellige årtier i den danske litteraturhistorie 1870-1890. Men der er også en fortsættelse af "Nattevinduesdigtene" fra 2016-samlingen og et par nye lollandsonetter, samt en oversættelse af den ukrainske nationalsang.
