Caesar's Column is a dystopian novel written by Ignatius Donnelly in 1890. The story is set in the future, where the world is ruled by a powerful oligarchy called the ""Great Trust."" The protagonist, a journalist named Marcus, discovers a hidden underground city beneath New York, where a group of rebels live. The rebels are fighting against the Great Trust and the oppressive society it has created. Marcus joins the rebels and falls in love with their leader, a woman named Evelyn. Together, they plan to overthrow the Great Trust and create a new, more just society. The novel explores themes of social injustice, political corruption, and the struggle for freedom and equality.
