Volume 5 of this seven-volume collection (published in nine parts, 1864-90), comprising translated Venetian state papers relating to England, covers the period 1534-54, including Henry VIII's last years and Edward VI's short reign. Editor and translator Rawdon Lubbock Brown (1806-83) was the great authority on the Venetian archives.
