Originally published in 1928, this book presents the content of the Harveian Oration for that year, which was delivered at the Royal College of Physicians of London by Sir Humphrey Davy Rolleston (1862-1944). The text provides an account of the developments in cardiovascular medicine following on from William Harvey's groundbreaking discoveries during the sixteenth century.
