""Jaishankar Prasad was born on 30th January 1890, in Sarai Goverdhan village of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in Varanasi itself. Later on, he was educated at home in Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu and Persian languages. Being an eminent Hindi poet, dramatist and a novelist, Prasad was a multifaceted personality. He was awarded for his achievements throughout his life. He died of tuberculosis in Varanasi on 15th November 1937.
