Written by two former students of perhaps one of the Caribbean's most famous educational institutions, book elucidates school's evolution and analyzes its contribution to the development of Barbadian society. Although scarcity of adequate documentation results in an uneven treatment of different periods, work examines roles of various headmasters and their administrations in the school's evolution. Additionally, work places Combermere, and the changes it underwent, within the larger framework of societal changes that Barbados experienced.
