Dead Souls

Dead Souls is a novel by the Russian author Nikolai Gogol. The book is considered a classic of Russian literature and is often cited as one of the greatest works of fiction ever written. The story follows the exploits of a man named Chichikov, who travels through rural Russia in the early 19th century, buying up the ""dead souls"" of serfs who have died since the last census.
