A down to earth recollection of growing up in a Middlesex town, education through numerous schools as part of his childhood and the tragic loss of his mother at the age of 54. Covering the battles faced with his education disruption, a severe mental depression and depersonalization and derealization which was not diagnosed until 5 or 6 years later, then followed the battle to rebuild his mind completely after finally being treated. This is a truthful honest account of his fight back from a crippling and debilitating mental depression spanning over 6 years, plus a very severe mental disorder which was untreated or diagnosed, it also covers his fight back to learn how to retrain his mind using his original personality from before he became ill to get back to the person he was, it took years to regain both confidence and self esteem and re-establish himself back into society.
About the author
Charles Mealing was born in 1959 and he lived in Middlesex in his childhood until he and his father moved to Kent after the death of his mother who lost her life at the young age of 54 due to Cancer. He has a sister who is older than him by 8 years who now lives in East Anglia. Charles has never had any previous mental health problems but was later diagnosed with high blood pressure which runs in the family.
