Men and women are equal parts of the society and the development of a society is depending upon the development of these two pillars of the society. However, women are not getting equal rights in education, professional fields and in society. The traditional conservative norms of the society and unethical values of the culture and men occupied primary norms lead to gender disparity in many developing countries of the world. In this regard, India is also facing the same problems for the girl and women. Especially the rural women are not having minimum standard of living and frequent violation of human rights for them. There is large gap of standard of living between women in rural and urban areas. In rural areas, women are mostly vulnerable to low quality of health status, no right to work etc. Here, it is highlighting the status of women in rural and urban areas of India. The right to education, growth resources are mostly concentrated for the men dominated society in India. There are lots of predefined rules for women in rural societies and they are hurting the social norms for the women. This will highlight all the issues related to women in rural societies.
