Written almost a decade before the publication of his magnum opus Ulysses, the fifteen stories that make up Dubliners form James Joyce's first great narrative piece, a tribute to his hometown that already denotes the author's great capacity for observation and mockery, as well as the sensitivity and minimalism typical of his literature.
