Just as a million of former slaves followed a flame in the desert wilderness, just as a German living in industrial England with thousands of orphans, just as a British doctor in inland China facing death daily during the Boxer Rebellion, this family's story is no different. They all lived by this one simple principle found in Hebrews 11:6:

Without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.
