Five Children and It

In this classic children's adventure, five siblings-Cyril, Anthea, Robert, Jane, and their baby brother known as the Lamb-discover a magical, wish-granting creature called a Psammead buried in a sandpit near their country home. The Psammead is a grumpy, ancient being with the power to grant one wish a day, but each wish ends at sunset. As the children make their wishes, they quickly realize that magic can lead to unexpected consequences, bringing humor, adventure, and sometimes trouble.
