A juvenile delinquent headed down a path to self destruction... inadvertently leads himself to an eternity in the worst place imaginable... THE FIRST LEVEL OF HELL "Look into the abyss, and the abyss will look back into you."--Friedrich Nietzsche "But practice abysmal sins, and they'll weigh you down into the abyss itself." (Unknown) Sixteen-year-old Johnny Morris has been committing heinous acts the majority of his life-nearly everything short of homicide. For him, causing mayhem is the same as a fix for an addict. Everything soon changes the day he gets into a fight with the wrong person. Johnny, the boy who blew up his neighbor's mailbox with an M-80, the boy who shot out windows with a BB gun just for a good time, wakes to find himself in another world...one that's red, hot, and filled with evil things whose only purpose is to make his afterlife a living hell. Forever. Henry, another lost soul, befriends the newcomer and tells him good news: there may be a way out for him, if he hurries. However, getting out will not be an easy task. It will be a difficult, dangerous, and harrowing adventure. Can he do it? After being tortured, scarred spiritually, and chased by the damned? Or is it a lost cause? Is Hell really inescapable? A house not only haunted by spirits but infested with beings beyond the limits of human imagination. No one enters the house on Mayberry Road and comes out alive. Ever since the house killed his young protégé, John Rollings vowed to stay away from that colonial-style on Mayberry Road, but there is something about that evil structure that persistently torments him. It haunts his dreams and beckons him in its insidious voice to come inside. After the house claims yet another victim, the local sheriff, Charlie Steera, contacts John, as he is the only known person to have entered the house and come out alive and with his sanity intact. Can John survive this investigation, or will he succumb to the horrors that lie within the house on Mayberry Road?
After a disastrous zombie outbreak ravages the majority of the population of the United States, the remaining survivors are rounded up and flown to remote locations-safe-zones-until the pandemic can be resolved. Maynard Dunn, his family, and new acquaintances soon find themselves on Conlaven Island, a perceptible paradise... at first. But only days after they arrive, they learn that not all is as it seems. People go missing, some are found dead-then undead-and the destructive military force has apparently become unhinged by the broken state the world is in. Maynard, as well as everyone else, soon learns that zombies may just be the lesser of the two evils compared to deranged, reckless humans. These wolves in sheep's clothing, unlike the zombies, are armed. The civilians are not. How will they survive this-what's supposed to be a secure refuge? Read to find out!
They thought it was going to be a fun, interesting field trip during their last days as high school seniors. But what they didn't count on was the bus crashing on a remote, deserted dirt road in the woods. And what they couldn't possibly have anticipated were the hideous horrors that lurked in those woods... mutated once-human monsters with a hunger for fresh meat... And fresh souls... _______________________________________________________________ Just days before their graduation, twelve high school seniors embark on a field trip to the bustling city of Chicago... but they never arrive. The bus ends up crashing on an old, deserted road in the bowels of a lush forest. Some students die in the crash. Others are injured. Few remain unscathed. How they managed to veer so far off the map is a mystery. And, calling for help proves useless, as nobody can receive a phone signal. Since little daylight remains, and a fierce storm's brewing, they come to the conclusion that they must spend the night in this unfamiliar territory. Before dawn, however, everyone is awakened by a girl's ferocious scream. It turns out to be the scream one of their own, who's gone missing. They also find proof of what roams these woods-deformed humanoids with the brute power of wild animals. The only difference is, these savages are smart, cunning and purposeful. Their goal-to devour the brains of everyone from the Number 13 bus in order to lengthen life and accumulate powers. It's up to Will Berilla, a confused but precocious teenager, to wage war against the evil that's stalking them, save his friends, and find his way back home.
What if the dead started coming back to life... and some sinister force was behind their resurrection? The end began at 30,000 feet over the Atlantic, in a military aircraft filled with air trays containing the bodies of deceased American soldiers-that's the first reported instance of the dead returning to life. Soon, it spreads to neighboring regions like a wildfire. Nobody has a name for it, no answer, and no solution on how to properly dispose of the undead. The fate of mankind rests in a handful of people from the East Coast. Maynard Dunn, a family man and ex-marine, leads them, not only to safety, but to also rage against the malign force in control of the rising dead.
The dead don't always stay dead... not when they have a link to bridge the gap to life...14-year-old Danny Willow thinks the death of his sweet, compassionate grandmother, Ethel Crowley, is the end of her; until, that is, he begins to see and hear very strange things at the viewing. At first he chalks it up to an overactive imagination. He's never seen a dead body before, so maybe it, in essence, has rendered him briefly insane. But then he sees her at home, in the middle of the night, threatening him, telling him that within fourteen days, on October 31, his time will come to an end and the black goat of a thousand young shall roam free again.Danny really thinks he's beginning to lose it. Maybe he has a brain tumor or the onset of schizophrenia. That only makes sense, right? Surely his grandma is not returning with some beast from a dark dimension, has she?He receives conformation when his best friend fails to see her, too. Afraid and alone, he tells the school nurse, as well as his mom, who worriedly rushes him to a local mental health facility. There, a psychiatrist diagnosis him with PTSD. That's all it is: trauma from the viewing. Danny has to take medication and it will all go away.It helps for awhile, until he sees her again. And again. And again. Following him everywhere he goes. Monitoring him like a trained spy. Mom doesn't believe him. Randy, his friend, doesn't believe him. Nobody does. He can't even understand it, himself. All he knows is that time is running out.He doesn't know what Ethel is, what she really wants, or why she's after him. But she's coming. From some deep, dark, abominable pit, she waits for the time to be right, the stars to align.Danny realizes he must convince others. He must dig for answers. And he must fight, because on Halloween, his number might just be up.
