Glorious Wisdom: The Autobiography of Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche, Translated by Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche, With a Brief Biography by J. M. White Khenchen was among the last generation of Tibetans who were fully trained in the monastic system of old Tibet. He grew up in a semi-nomadic family in rural Tibet where there were no roads, only trails, no vehicles of any kind, no wheels, no electricity or modern convenience. He was literally throw from this situation into the modern world where he ended up living in Manhattan before establishing dharma centers all over America and the world with his headquarters in upstate New York State. He went on to publish over thirty volumes of his teachings and scholarly writings about all aspects of Buddhism.
