Greater Medieval Houses of England and Wales, 1300–1500: Volume 1, Northern England

This is the first of a three-volume, illustrated survey of the more than 700 greater houses of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries which survive in England and Wales. The survey, first published in 1996, groups the buildings by region, providing short introductions which establish their historical and architectural context.
