Nineteen-year-old Caroline Hart leaves her parents' home in Philadelphia and heads to Memphis with one dream: to see her idol, Elvis Presley, and to tell him how much he has affected her entire life. In one serendipitous moment, that dream-and much more-comes true and Caroline's life truly changes forevermore. Not only does she set up permanent residence in Memphis, but pursues her career as a social worker. Like her idol before her, Memphis becomes her adopted hometown. Not only does Caroline find a home in Memphis, but the most unlikely of friends: Elvis. The two share their faith and love of God, they discuss the Bible and the themes of movies and books, and they forge a bond stronger than any force.
