Katelijne De Backer has worked at the intersection of business and culture her entire career, for example as the director and/or manager of several art fairs and the art gallery Lehmann Maupin. Her interest in music, art, food, design, books and films has taken her to the most fascinating corners of New York City, and particularly of Brooklyn: when she moved from Manhattan's Upper West Side to Brooklyn in 2002, Katelijne was immediately smitten by her new neighbourhood of Brooklyn Heights.
