Hustlers Don't Die

Bag om Hustlers Don't Die

The time was 1996. There was no Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Things were different. There were rules to the game and codes that had to be abided by. Way before mumble rap and skinny jeans ever became a thing, the streets themselves were the only source of information about the life that the true hustlers led. Ruthless criminals played a game with unforgiving consequences. In the midst of it all was Jyce Miles. He played the game as well as anyone from his era did. Running the Philly streets with a passion and desire for that almighty dollar that was unmatched by any of his competitors, he was down to do whatever he had to do to get his piece of the American dream. At one point, Jyce didn't think there was anything that could pull him away from the streets; until he met Katrina Brown. She was as deep and complex as she was gorgeous and was the only person who ever had Jyce ready to walk away from the fast life. With one more lick, Jyce would be set and the two of them could have retired off into the sunset together, but of course, it never works out that way. Now, over 20 years later, Jyce is lying in a hospital bed, sick with cancer. He's on his last leg, but before he goes, he's determined to tell his story to him and Katrina's daughter, Karma. Told through the eyes of her mother and father as it all played out, Karma is reliving her parents past. As she hears some shocking truths about both of them, Karma learns a deep secret that will force her to make a decision that will change her life forever!
