Kayla Martin's lesbian mothers insist that their daughter was snatched from their suburban backyard in the middle of the day, but the police suspect them of child abuse resulting in death. Kristin Ashe soon becomes drawn into the case - but, with each passing day, the search for the missing Kayla becomes more and more desperate.
