Impact of Mental Health and Achievement Motivation on

One of the major aims of education is the development of wholesome personality. Mental well¿being is as important as physical well¿being for efficient functioning of the individuals whether at school or in office or in an industry. The present day education is only providing some information to the pupil which helps in developing a few mental abilities. The present investigation intends to assess the mental health status, level of achievement motivation and to note down their academic achievement. The researcher feels that there would be impact of mental health and achievement motivation on the academic achievement of the pupils. The student life is influenced by the home and school. While at school or college the student likes to be different from others, strives to achieve something which makes him/her different from others. They work hard to achieve the goals they have in mind. The review of literature revealed that some variables were scarcely been investigated and the Indian studies on these variables were negligible. Suitable objectives and hypotheses were framed for the study.
