Bag om In Shattered Places

Centuries ago, the gods fought a war and destroyed the world. Wracked with remorse, they decided to team up with humans in order to heal the damage they had done. Every child at the age of twelve is Blessed to receive the companionship of their very own god. Hedgehogs, rabbits, dogs, eagles... every creature in the world is represented among their ranks. These children and gods work together to heal the terrible damage that was done to the planet. It has become wrought with earthquakes, rifts, and vast deserts. The goal is to return to a golden age where the gods once again walk among the people. But Sylla is a Wanderer. She belongs to a nomadic tribe that does not believe in children being Blessed. Though she has been taught to be suspicious of the temple and all those associated with it, Sylla wants her own Blessing and to have her own god more than anything in the world. But when her dream finally seems within her reach, Sylla is forced to discover the truth about gods, the world, and her place in it.
