In The Year of 2008

In The Year of 2008 is a collection of poems that reflect the economic and social chaos that engulfed the world at that particular time. A time when the old hegemony of the West almost collapsed overnight. This book of poems (albeit from an Irish perspective of the Global Financial crisis of 2008/09) opens a window into how the Global Financial crisis affected individual people and families and in particular their daily struggles to find work, maintain a home and even put food on the table are all wonderfully captured in this first publication of poems titled: In The Year of Twenty Zero 08.
