It just keeps getting better

- A sales pitch for staying together and why parenting can make you both a hero and a villain in the same day.

Bag om It just keeps getting better

This is my sales pitch for staying with the person you're with and how monogamy is the most exciting thing ever. It makes you strong and a fun person, it really does. If you think you're getting bored of the person you're with, you just need to remember what made you look at them in the first place and, more importantly, what made you carry on looking as it's almost certainly still there even if hidden behind the stresses and mundanity of everyday life. It's also a reassurance that if you think your family are a bit crazy, you're not alone. And if you think you're the only person who doesn't have life sussed that's just not true. Dig a little into the lives of even the most conservative seeming people who follow all the rules and you'll see that everyone's a blagger, some are just better at hiding it than others. This is also a good story for anyone who thought they were a well-balanced and intelligent person who could make a good parent, only to find themselves feeling like the opposite once they became one. When you hear your child say something that if you heard another child had said would make you think they needed psychiatric help or, worse still, you hear yourself say or do something that you wouldn't have thought yourself capable of or would ever do in a million years, it's perfectly normal and fine and happens all the time. The fact you realise it's not something you should probably say or do means you're still a very good parent doing a great job. This started as a letter to my husband to make him realise how much he is appreciated but I soon realised it gave me an opportunity to rant about all the things that annoy me too, such as modern technology taking over from creativity and being a slave to my Fitbit, that I didn't even want in the first place! This story will hopefully make you laugh out loud and may even make you cry a bit too but that's OK as, after all, though it's such a cliché, you can't have a rainbow without any rain. So, please scroll up and click Buy and, when you've read it, if you could leave me a review that would be very kind of you. Thank you for your time.
