Jest for the Pun of It

Puns are one of the great pleasures of the English language. And for all those unfortunates who would disparage this form of humor, I quote the multi-talented musician and humorist, Oscar Levant who said, "A pun is the lowest form of humor - when you didn't think of it first."

Or there's poet and journalist, Christopher Morley's definition, "A pun is language on vacation."
