John: The Mystagogic Gospel

John's Gospel is Mystagogic. The very events being described and presented to us are present and accessible for us to enter and experience not as an external voyeur but as an internal participant. This is the Mystagogic experience, whether we can put it into words or not. John is the mystagogue. By God's grace he has written a Mystagogic Gospel--a Gospel in which the events being described and presented are alive and eternally present and accessible to those desiring to go deeper into the mystery.
