Journal of a Tour in Marocco and the Great Atlas

This 1878 account of Morocco and the Atlas mountains was compiled from the journals of Sir Joseph Hooker and the geologist John Ball. The scientific interests of both men take centre stage in an engaging narrative which describes an area little visited by Europeans, even in the late nineteenth century.
