Evil was already in the homes of the wealthy, but it was not satisfied with the people who had sold their souls for riches, as for some reason it took greater delight in dwelling within those who had so little. Perhaps that was the real mark of evil, the real sign of its insidious intents. It took delight in destroying that which had already had life reduced to a constant struggle to keep from sinking, sinking ever deeper into the quagmire of poverty. This will be Lynton's greatest battle, but by her side is a true staunch defender of the downtrodden.
